Mechanical Principle of a Carton Erector:


A carton erector is a vital component in packaging assembly lines, primarily used for packaging cartons, boxes, corrugated boxes, and colorful boxes. Its working principle involves the handling of pre-prepared cartons or colorful boxes placed on the worktable. These are lifted by a tray and then undergo opening and bagging processes, completing the packaging process.


Key equipment includes carton erectors, bundling machines, and strapping machines, essential for separating packaged products from their original packaging and performing box-packing operations. The opening table can be horizontal or vertical, often featuring one or more carton sealing machines and several bundling lines .


  1. The carton erector's box-opening function is executed by the box-sending mechanism, typically using slider transportation. Cartons are sent to horizontal blocks by a conveying mechanism and then dropped by a ball-drop mechanism. The box width can be adjusted, and there's a chuck device on the box board for latch verification during the unpacking operation.

  2. After opening a carton, the machine halts until the next carton needs opening.

  2. Prevent debris from entering the operating space during machine operation to avoid injury.
