As automation in packaging technology advances, the "Pick and Place Case Packer" stands out in the packaging industry with its unique design and efficient operational performance. This guide provides a detailed overview of the machine's safety and operational guidelines, ensuring safety while maintaining efficiency.

1. General Safety Considerations

The "Pick and Place Case Packer" is designed according to current plant safety regulations to protect both the operator and the machine from potential accidents. It is emphasized that operators should not solely rely on the installed safety devices but must fully understand the safety precautions outlined in the operating manual to prevent improper operation which could harm both the operator and the equipment.

2. Safety Procedures for Machine Startup

  • Pre-Startup Confirmation: Check that all machine switches are functioning correctly.

  • Power Activation: Ensure all motors are rotating in the correct direction after installation and that all dashboard indicators are working properly.

  • Operational Function Validation: Refer to the corresponding operational section of the manual for detailed instructions.

  • Safety Device Confirmation: Ensure all safety devices such as safety guards, safety switches, emergency stop buttons, and grounding wires are properly installed; do not remove any warning signs on the machine; know how to stop the machine before starting; do not attempt to manually stop the machine, and simultaneous operation by multiple persons is prohibited.

3. Technical and Maintenance Safeguards

Only qualified technicians should perform electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Essential precautions include:

  • Turn off the power before opening the electrical box.

  • Ensure all power is disconnected before removing or replacing electrical components.

  • Be aware of all warning signs and review the machine’s circuit diagram before operating.

  • Use insulated tools.

  • Do not use fuses and other metal wires beyond the design specification limits.

  • When replacing any wiring, ensure the same diameter and color.

  • After completing the above actions, make sure each protective cover is reinstalled to its original position.

  • Before turning on the power, ensure no one is operating the machine.

  • For power supplies without grounding, remember to install a brass rod underground (with impedance less than 100 ohms) and connect it to the control box contact point.

  • Never place anything (solid or liquid) on the control box or operation box.

  • Due to high voltage, do not touch the screws in the control box, connectors, motor, or electrical box; do not touch the machine switch or any electrical parts with wet hands.

4. Machine Characteristics

The "Pick and Place Case Packer," a bespoke product in the automatic packing machine series, operates singly, is economical and efficient, and compatible with various products at the same time, making it highly suitable for modern packaging needs.

Key specifications include:

  • Table height: Packing table at 1400mm; carton incoming table at 600mm.

  • Overall machine dimensions (excluding conveyor): Length 1860mm, Width 1800mm, Height 3200mm.

  • Applicable power supply: 3-phase 380V, 50/60Hz.

  • Gas pressure source supply: at least 0.6MPa.

  • Power switch: ON/OFF.

This guide highlights the key safety measures and functional attributes of the "Pick and Place Case Packer," emphasizing its design for safety, efficiency, and adaptability to meet diverse packaging needs.
