HMI Selection Guidelines and Control System Configuration

To accommodate various automation standards and factory integration requirements, the machine supports multiple Human-Machine Interface (HMI) brands. Available options include Siemens, Proface, Mitsubishi, and Omron, all of which are industrial-grade HMIs widely recognized for their stability, compatibility, and electromagnetic interference resistance. Customers may select the appropriate brand according to their existing automation ecosystem.

1. Standard HMI Configuration — MCGS

The standard machine configuration is equipped with an MCGS industrial touch screen, with a dedicated control interface developed on this platform. Key features include:

  • Wide communication protocol support: Compatible with various PLCs, servo drives, and fieldbus systems, enabling flexible system expansion.

  • Fast interface response: Suitable for high-speed packaging applications requiring real-time monitoring.

  • Clear graphical interface structure: Parameter settings, alarm logs, and motion status monitoring are organized through hierarchical menus.

  • Maintenance efficiency: Supports online modification, data export, system backup, and recovery functions.

2. Control Panel Language Standardization

To ensure consistent operation, commissioning, and maintenance across global installations, all control panel text and HMI interface content are standardized in English. This reduces the risk of misoperation caused by language differences and shortens operator training time.

3. System Integration and Compatibility

The HMI communicates with the main PLC (such as Panasonic or Siemens) through high-speed data exchange, supporting the following functions:

  • Real-time machine status monitoring

  • Multi-level parameter settings and recipe management

  • Fault alarms and diagnostic information output

  • Visualization of operation sequences

  • I/O status inspection for maintenance

Optional functionalities based on project requirements include:

  • Industrial communication such as Modbus TCP/RTU, Profinet, EtherNet/IP

  • Remote monitoring and data acquisition (with corresponding modules)
